The Macedonia office assesses artisan partners, provides ongoing mentoring and guidance to growing businesses, implements product development and buyer requests, assists in buyer follow-up and review of orders, develops local and export marketing strategies, and manages day-to-day operations. Based in Skopje, the MATA team consists of the following members:


MATA’s President, Zoran Todorovski, is responsible for overall management of the organization. In addition, he oversees other executive offices’ staff, acts as the organization’s primary media liaison, and develops key institutional relationships for the organization. Mr. Todorovski is also the lead mentor for the micro and small enterprises assisted by the organization, acting as a guide for navigating the local and export markets. He is also responsible for marketing planning, field visits and producer assessments, training, and tradeshow preparation.

MATA’s Creative Director, Vesna Avramovska, provides support to artisans and producer groups regarding technical issues associated with craft production and product design. She is also responsible for planning and implementation of local marketing events, such as bazaars and trade shows. She performs producer assessments, ongoing mentoring, and direct product development activities with artisans. She also organizes local training activities and contributes to the preparation of promotional materials.

MATA’s Marketing Manager, Suada Statovci, is responsible for implementing product development in coordination with designers and buyers, sourcing raw materials, ongoing mentoring, tradeshow preparation, and controlling order delivery. She is the primary staff member providing support to artisans and producer groups regarding production planning and technical issues. Ms. Statovci also provides support to international and local design consultants, communicates with buyers, and coordinates artisan-training workshops in the field.

MATA’s Project Assistant, Aneta Petrovska, works closely with the other executive office staff to provide support to both technical and marketing activities in the field. She also coordinates media contacts and coverage, maintains project file organization, creates artisan profiles and product sheets, and assists in organizing special events.
